Leighton G. Linning


Attorney at Law

Leighton grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the youngest of nine children.  He developed a love of music at a young age and played lead guitar in the family band. He earned his undergraduate degree in jazz studies from Brigham Young University – Idaho in 2009. During law school, Leighton founded the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and earned the prestigious moot court award - top litigator. He was among  the top ten students in his graduating class at Nashville School of Law in 2015. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, Federal Court (Middle District of Tennessee), and is an active member of SOLID, YEP, AMA, CMA, and Blues Association. Leighton has extensive experience in Nashville’s entertainment industry working on a variety of projects with Billy Block, CMT, Sony/ATV, Musicians' Hall of Fame Awards, K-Love Fan Awards, Camp Electric, Winter Jam, Kirk Cameron’s Revive US, and Nashville Star.

Leighton and his wife Melissa married in 2012 and are the parents of three daughters. During his free time, Leighton enjoys spending time with his family and playing guitar and piano.
