John helps people from all walks of life whose livelihood is threatened by lawsuits, criminal charges, excessive taxation, assault, fraud, scams, crime, intellectual property infringement, and injustice.
John’s life story is full of different experiences. He worked in the farmlands of Tennessee as a teenager and performed archeological fieldwork in Rajasthan, India. While studying for his Masters in Anthropology, he taught college courses in New York City. He also taught algebra in South Carolina and worked in an immigration consulting firm in Canada. After graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Law more than five years ago, John ran a small firm in Nashville before joining the Gordon Law Group.
During law school, John achieved honors including highest grades in contract drafting and constitutional law. He practices in both civil and criminal law doing both transactional and litigation work. He was a member of the National Environmental Law Moot Court Team, and also helped disabled students obtain services through his work in the Education Law Practicum.
Although John’s cases are as different from each other as the people who comprise them, one common thread is that different assets from real estate investments to intangible assets such as intellectual property, including all types of finances and freedoms, were threatened for clients that sought John’s help.
Just as we would hire an attorney to deal with legal fires that we face in our personal and professional lives, we can hire an attorney to help us plan and create ironclad legal structures to prevent problems from touching our assets. The cost of hiring a lawyer from the beginning of any business relationship is much lower than the cost of not having a strong legal structure and solutions designed specifically to protect you when problems later arise.
John joined the Gordon Law Group in 2019 and gained a team of attorneys providing strong support and a mentor, Robin Gordon, to more fully serve his clients.
John lives with his wife and two children in Mt. Juliet, TN, and loves to take part in his children’s lives as much as possible. He is a band booster, helps with the Boy Scouts, and is a youth basketball coach.
